Negative ion air purifiers are a new facet of technology that more and more people are getting into, but few people are able to really figure out how they work. It has to do with positive and negative ions and their relationship with one another as well as their relationship with other objects in the environment, and that is what keeps the objects and matter in the purifier and not in the air.
Of course, for this to work there does have to be some type of filtration system in place, and with that said there are different kinds of unites that you can choose from. The filtered systems have removable filters that you have to purchase replacement filters for and other systems have a permanent filter that is simply extractable and wiped clean with a damp cloth or sponge. After that, the filter is slipped back into the unit to be reused and collect new particle matter again, keeping it in the system and out of the air.
